Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB)

The Criminal Investigations Bureau investigates matters of criminal nature and brings forth the appropriate prosecution of offenders.

Special Investigations Bureau (SIB)

The Special Investigations Bureau conducts large-scale illegal narcotics investigations and has successfully removed several major drug traffickers from the community. Additionally, they target specific troubled areas in the County that are experiencing elevated crime rates or specific identifiable issues. The bureau works closely with other law enforcement agencies from surrounding counties as well as the State Bureau of Investigation, to combat the loss of life due to narcotic distribution. Currently, three investigators are assigned to the Department of Homeland Security task force, one to the ATF task force, one to the United States Marshal's Service task force, one with HSI, and one with the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The bureau and partner agencies conduct extensive investigations related to illegal weapons and narcotics, gang activity, violent crimes, and cases where suspects have been located in other states or regions.
