The Patrol Bureau, consisting of Criminal Patrol, Marine Patrol, and Transportation, is responsible for safety and security throughout all of Craven County. Deputies respond to calls for aid, patrol roadways, and assist citizens with a myriad of issues. This bureau is in operation twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
The bureau maintains direct contact with citizens, providing opportunities to interact and communicate concerning their needs as they relate to safety. The bureau is committed to answering alarm calls and ensuring the safety of citizens and their property. Other objectives include serving criminal and civil processes, arrest warrants, domestic violence orders, subpoenas, and child support orders.
