Craven County commissioners and staff brought County priorities to Washington, D.C. at the National Association of Counties (NACo) Legislative Conference.
Craven County's delegation included Chairman Denny Bucher, Commissioner Chadwick Howard, Commissioner Sherry Hunt, County Manager Jack Veit, and Assistant to the County Manager Shane Digan. They joined thousands of county officials from across the United States to advocate for issues affecting county governments.
Commissioners and staff attended policy discussions, met with members of Congress and staff, and heard from Cabinet officials and others in the federal government. By attending, Commissioners ensured that the County is represented at the national level, and has a voice on issues directly affecting residents.
