On Monday, September 29th, Craven County celebrated the reopening of the Senior Center on 811 George Street after major renovations. The celebration included a plaque reveal, speeches, and performances.
Beginning in January 2025, the Senior Center underwent much-needed renovations, including structural repair and reinforcement, weatherization, updated flooring, ceiling tile replacement, lighting upgrades, and other upgrades. During this renovation, Senior Services was temporarily relocated to 408 Hancock Street in New Bern.
