Commissioner Hunt came from Indiana to eastern North Carolina via The United States Marine Corps.  She then enjoyed a successful career in healthcare.  She and her husband have two adult daughters.

Elected in November of 2022 she currently serves on the following boards:

• National Association of Counties Veterans & Military Service Committee
