The Craven County Board of Commissioners has determined to consider whether to enter into an installment financing agreement pursuant to Section 160A-20 of the NC General Statutes obligating the County to make installment payments thereunder in a principal amount not to exceed $10,000,000, plus interest thereon.  The Agreement is for the purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, to finance the costs of acquiring, constructing, and equipping certain improvements to the County's convention center.  To secure its obligations under the Agreement, the County will grant a lien on all or a portion of the site of the Convention Center, together with any improvements or fixtures located or to be located thereon.

The Craven County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing in the Craven County Commissioners' Boardroom, located at 406 Craven Street in New Bern, on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 8:30 am or as soon thereafter as possible; at which time any person may be heard regarding the proposed Agreement described.
