According to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) COVID-19 Dashboard, Craven County has 8,012 COVID-19 cases as of 11:30 a.m. on, February 19, 2021. A total of 574 Craven County residents have been hospitalized due to COVID-19. Fifteen of the COVID-19 cases are currently hospitalized.
Craven County citizens are encouraged to use the NCDHHS COVID-19 Dashboard and Harvard University’s Global Epidemics website for COVID-19 case information. The NCDHHS dashboard provides a state overview of COVID-19 cases, testing, hospitalizations, and outbreaks and clusters. North Carolina county level COVID-19 case and death demographic data are also available using the dashboard. Race, ethnicity, age, and gender is included in the demographic data. The Global Epidemics website provides a map detailing national, state, and county level COVID-19 information. Information available through the website includes total cases, total deaths, daily new cases per 100,000, and a seven-day moving average of COVID-19 cases.

The number of confirmed cases will increasingly provide a limited picture of the spread of infections in Craven County as COVID-19 has become widespread. The Craven County Health Department is asking citizens to remember these three things as we stay strong and work to slow the spread of COVID-19.
