Craven County Winding Down Hurricane Dorian Related Efforts

Craven County Emergency Management will close all emergency shelters opened in-connection with Hurricane Dorian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.  The four emergency shelters housed 254 residents and 10 pets during the event.


Craven County Emergency Management and Craven County Board of Commissioners have rescinded its voluntary evacuation order for Zone A or low-lying flood prone areas of Craven County as well as its State of Emergency effective 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.


Craven County’s seven convenience sites will resume normal hours of operation.  Normal hours of operation for the convenience sites are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.


Craven County Government will resume all regular operating hours starting Monday, September 9, 2019.


Residents still without power should contact their electrical service provider.


The Craven County Emergency Operations Call Center is being deactivated.  Citizens with an emergency will need to call 911.
