Bowling Competitions - 2011

Special Olympics Craven County offers Bowling Skills Competitions for athletes of all ages. Each competition is held at the Strike Zone for Elementary, Middle and High School groups; adult groups travel to Stars and Stripes in Havelock.

October 19 - Elementary Schools 10:00am Strike Zone(New Bern)

October 26 - Middle & High Schools 10:00am Strike Zone(New Bern)

November 2 - Adult Groups 10:00am Stars & Strikes (Cherry Point)

Special Olympics Craven County offers Basketball Skills Competitions for athletes of all ages. Each competition is held at West New Bern Recreation Center on Pinetree Drive. All schools and group homes practice individually to prepare for these competitions. Volunteers are needed.

January 18 - Elementary Schools 10:00am West New Bern

February 1 - Middle & High Schools 10:00am West New Bern

February 15 - Adult Groups 10:00am West New Bern

This years Track & Field Competition will be held Thursday, May 3^rd at Grover C. Fields Middle School. Over 250 athletes from around Craven County will compete in track events, softball throw, standing & running long jump and relay races. Over 300 volunteers are needed to make this event happen. This is the largest event that Special Olympics will have in 2012.
