Job Application Process
The majority of open positions with Craven County require that you apply through the North Carolina Employment Security Commission (ESC) office. Due to the high volume of applications that we receive in response to advertisements for employment, it is important that you fill out your application completely and attach any documentation that you feel is relevant to the position applied for. Some positions specify that you submit a resumé by the application deadline. Resumés are not accepted in lieu of applications.
If the job announcement instructs you to apply through the Employment Security Commission (ESC), you will need to obtain a State application (PD107) through their office and return the completed application to them. Please print legibly or type the information on your application. All applications must be turned in to the ESC by the deadline date, without exception. Please do not mail your application directly to the Human Resources Department. Applications received by the ESC will be forwarded to the Human Resources Department after the deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applications will only be accepted for currently posted positions.
