The purpose of a public health education program is to enhance the community's ability to solve health problems through informed decision making skills regarding disease and injury prevention, healthful living promotion, and appropriate utilization of preventive and detection services.  All NC dining is smoke-free.

Services include:

Project Assist - Local tobacco and prevention control groups.

Jail Health Iniative - Expanded HIV testing in Craven/Pamlico/Lenior counties jails.

Diabetes Education - Information offered on diabetes, management and nutritional education of diabetes.

Teen Outreach Program - Program to prevent teenage pregnancy and HIV/sexually transmitted infections among youth, ages 12-17 in Craven County.

Community Education - Additional health education programs offered for various organizations, churches, youth groups and agencies. Please contact us for additional information and schedules.
