A. The tax rate for FY 2015-2016 is $.4675 per $100 valuation.  
Property taxes in North Carolina are due September 1 of each year. They are payable at par through January 5th of the following year. On January 6th, 2% interest is added to the current year outstanding balance.  Interest continues to accrue on the unpaid balance at the rate of 3/4 of one percent per month for each subsequent month until it is paid.
